Badteeth (aka Josh Friedberg) is a skateboarding industry pioneer turned web3 innovator.

Captivated by the potential of blockchain and NFTs, Josh dove into the web3 world in 2021. He co-founded 288 Spirits in 2022, joined 10KTF as Senior Producer in 2023, and transitioned to lead the Made By Apes program at Yuga Labs in 2024.

Before embracing this seismic technological shift, Josh was a professional skateboarder and co-founder of 411 Video Magazine (411VM)—a groundbreaking publication known as “the internet before the internet” for millions of skateboarders worldwide.

Recognized as a culture creator, he spearheaded the Skateboarding Hall of Fame and co-created Innoskate with the Smithsonian’s Lemelson Center for the Study of Invention and Innovation while serving as Executive Director of the International Association of Skateboarding Companies.

In his roles as Executive Director of the International Skateboarding Federation and Skateboarding Director at World Skate, he helped develop the framework that brought skateboarding’s unique blend of sport, art, and culture to its largest stage at the Olympic Games.

While CEO of USA Skateboarding, Josh played a critical leadership role in launching skateboarding’s Olympic debut amid the uncertainty of a global pandemic.

Josh’s foundation in skateboarding—shaped by an iterative, DIY mentality—uniquely positions him for the challenges of web3, where creativity, community, and decentralization converge to unlock new possibilities every day.
