Engineering is my passion!
I still remember sitting in my dad's lap, learning how to write a simple "Hello World" in clipper, creating a full Pokedex with Visual Basic back in the mid-'90s (it had 151 switch statements 🤠) or creating extremely useful mIRC scripts that were used to impress all my friends. The next logical move as a teenager was to start learning to make websites, full of gifs and flashing colors, those were the good times! I remember always going to the bookstore and checking programming books, they were awesome, and I wanted to read them, take notes and then go home and try to run what I had just read at the store.

This passion carried me into the world of engineering, where I decided to go into Electrical Engineering (in my head I was going to learn to program there anyway, might as well get good at physics as well). Since then, I have always loved to work on projects that involve both worlds, from developing full websites, to IoT devices, that connect the analog world to the digital.

I love solving problems, and lately, most of them have been in the realms of web development and server management. The more I study, the more I want to learn more and get better at things. My wife complains that I am always solving some problem in my head (a shower is usually a great place for it!). When I am not coding and drinking coffee, I am probably exploring somewhere in the world, leaving the office and going to explore is a great way to widen our horizons and learn more about life.
