Snapchat expands its GPT-powered AI chatbot, "My AI," making it freely available to all users. New features include AR filter recommendations and visually messaging My AI.

Universal Music Group shuts down “Heart on My Sleeve”

A viral AI-generated song, “Heart on My Sleeve,” with Drake and The Weeknd AI voices, was recently removed by their labels due to its alarmingly similar voices. Despite this, the song had garnered 600,000 Spotify streams, 15 million TikTok views, and 275,000 YouTube views.

Yuga Labs wins summary judgment against Ryder Ripps.

Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) creators Yuga Labs have won a significant victory in their ongoing lawsuit against NFT artist Ryder Ripps. The lawsuit alleges that Ripps and his collaborators stole Yuga's intellectual property without permission and used it to create their own NFT project. Yuga Labs is seeking damages for trademark infringement and other causes of action.
A good news for BAYC that celebrated 2 years birthday this week-end.

Nike recently launched a new advertising campaign featuring RTFKT Cryptokicks on TikTok. Despite rumors that Nike doesn't care about the RTFKT brand, the cost of the ad placements suggest otherwise.

 

Starbucks Launches NFT Collection, Sells Out in 20 Minutes

Starbucks has entered the NFT space, releasing its first paid collection of 2,000 digital “Journey Stamps” at $100 each. The stamps sold out within 20 minutes. Starbucks Odyssey, the company’s Web3 membership program, first launched in December 2022 and provides perks and experiences for members. Purchasing an NFT also gives members additional “points” that they can use to level up their membership tier. Despite entering the NFT market later than other big brands, 1,164 people already own an NFT from Starbucks’ new collection.

Audi Develops Next-Gen Car Using AR Technology 

Audi has used augmented reality (AR) technology to develop its next-generation car, the Audi activesphere. The virtual user interface accessible using AR glasses replaces traditional buttons and touchscreens, displaying interactive controls for each corresponding component.
