Microsoft is reportedly working on its own AI chips that can be used to train large language models and avoid a costly reliance on Nvidia.
The Information reports that Microsoft has been developing the chips in secret since 2019, and some Microsoft and OpenAI employees already have access to them to test how well they perform for the latest large language models like GPT-4.
Meta has recently released an open-source code and dataset for a project that animates doodles using AI.
The model can detect human figures, segment body parts, estimate poses, and create animations.
In a recent interview with Fox News, Elon Musk said that he was going to create a new chatbot called TruthGPT to combat political bias. He showed his concerns about current AI systems being trained to be politically correct, which he views as a form of untruthfulness and a potential path towards a dystopian future. His plan for TruthGPT is to develop an AI system that seeks to understand the nature of the universe and prioritizes maximum truth-seeking.
Former US President Donald Trump has released a second collection of non-fungible tokens (NFTs) featuring surreal pieces of digital art depicting him as George Washington, a chess piece, and a lion wrangler. The NFTs, which cost $99 each, sold out within 24 hours of their release, with 47,000 NFTs made available. Those who purchased 47 NFTs had the chance to win a dinner with Trump at his Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida.
