Gm, coolkidz.
This week in crypto, something extraordinary outside the space has caught CT's attention. ChatGPT, a chatbot developed by Elon's OpenAI, has taken the space by storm. Aside from answering general questions about crypto and solving rather complex code, it's also able to audit smart contracts… A.I. is just getting better by the day.
While we marvel at the wonders of A.I., don't forget what builders are doing in the space - welcome back to NFT Paris!

Let's get right into this week's news.
The Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) has announced the launch of a fashion-themed retrospective metaverse exhibition, in celebration of its 60th anniversary.
The exhibition, called "Fashioning the Shades of American Design," will contain 60 fashion styles from the past 60 years, with NFTs created by 7 American fashion designers. Amongst the fashion designers that will create NFTs for the CFDA collection are Tommy Hilfiger, Willy Chavarria, Coach, Michael Kors, Diane von Furstenberg, Vivienne Tam, and Carolina Herrera.
CFDA has collaborated with Brand New Vision (BNV) for this exhibition, an NFT platform and 3D product creation company that focuses on helping fashion brands. The non-fungible tokens from the CFDA fashion exhibition are available one week before the opening date, in a private auction that will span from 12 to 16 December. The fact that these NFTs will have extensive utility is reflected by the opening bids for the project, which range from $15k to $20k per NFT.
Some of the benefits that come with purchasing one of the NFTs from the CFDA collection include shows and backstage access to meet Michael Kors and Vivienne Tam, Tommy Hilfiger signed autographs and a fully-paid trip to his next event, a physical handbag from Coach, and invitations to future fashion events and exhibitions.
The CFDA exhibition follows the footsteps of other European fashion brands like Burberry, Gucci, and Louis Vuitton, who have also successfully entered the Web3 and NFT space. The CFDA's goal is to bring life to iconic moments from American fashion history in digital form by expanding into the NFT sector.
British luxury hotel brand InterContinental Hotels & Resorts, part of the InterContinental Hotels Group, has recently entered the Web3 space with the launch of a non-fungible token collection consisting of 10 exclusive digital artwork NFTs.
InterContinental has collaborated with Claire Luxton for the new NFT collection, a British contemporary artist focusing on photography and poetry. InterContinental's NFT collection marks the first time Claire Luxton's work is available to collectors in digital form, with artwork inspired by the hotel's heritage and beautiful travel destinations.
The artwork showcases immersive scenes of fauna and flora inspired by the company's hotel portfolio, with yellow and blue macaws used as a nod to Belém (the brand's first hotel in Brazil), or a panther chameleon as a reference to InterContinental Resorts Mauritius (Balaclava Bay).
IHG Hotels & Resorts hopes to allow its guests to experience art in new and innovative ways with this new collaboration, and to expand the brand's fan base to a wider audience.
German car manufacturer Porsche has announced it will enter the Web3 space by launching its first NFT collection in January 2023, in collaboration with Patrick Voge, a 3D artist, and designer from Hamburg, Germany.
The non-fungible token collection, which launches in January 2023, will contain 7,500 unique NFTs inspired by the iconic Porsche 911 sports car, according to an announcement made by Porsche at The Gateway: A Web3 Metropolis, a 5-day Web3 festival taking place at Art Basel Miami 2022 event.
NFT collectors will be able to purchase a maximum number of 3 NFTs each, with a waiting list available for those who want to maximize their chances of acquiring one of the tokens.
As part of "The Art of Dreams" campaign, Porsche will display a physical sculpture of a concept car at the Pérez Art Museum in Miami (November 29 - December 3), which marks the campaign's debut in the USA.
According to Deniz Keskin, director of brand management at Porsche, the company is excited about its entrance into the NFT world, to extend the brand into a fully digital environment that will help it expand its reach.
Entertainment and lifestyle brand Playboy has announced it will launch its first original non-fungible token (NFT) collection on The Sandbox metaverse on December 6th.
Playboy previously worked with The Sandbox metaverse on a different project, when the MetaMansion (a virtual Playboy Mansion) was released on its Web3 platform earlier this year.
The upcoming Playboy NFT collection, called "Playboy Party People Avatars," will contain 1,969 NFTs with different rarities and traits, which are playable in The Sandbox metaverse and unlock unique benefits, such as invitations to future Playboy events.
The Playboy NFT collection will be available on the OpenSea marketplace, with each NFT costing 100 SAND tokens, approximately $60 at the time of writing. From a total of 1,969 NFTS, 38 are reserved by the Playboy and Sandbox teams for marketing purposes.
Although the sale will start on December 6th, whitelisted users will be able to purchase one of the NFTs from the Playboy collection 24 hours before the public sale. The NFT avatars will be revealed to the owners 48 hours after minting them on the OpenSea platform.
To be whitelisted you need to own an item from one of the following NFT collections: Playboy Rabbitars, People of Crypto Avatars, The Doggies Avatars, or Kuniverse Avatars. The Sandbox platform also offers a contest on its Twitter page, with winners able to mint their Playboy NFT earlier.
Italian luxury fashion brand Prada announced the release of the 7th installment of its Timecapsule NFT collection, the monthly physical products and NFT launching event that takes place on the first Thursday of each month.
The December drop, which happened on December 1st, was the 36th from Prada's Timecapsule NFT collection, consisting of a winter holidays-themed gender-neutral sweater accompanied by an NFT.
Each monthly Prada Timecapsule drop is limited to 50 items and lasts only 24 hours, so it is difficult to acquire one for the average user. Timecapsule NFTs offer unique perks and rewards, such as invitations to future events like Prada Extends and Prada Mode, and other exclusive benefits.
To own a Prada Timecapsule NFT, collectors need to buy the physical product (in this case the sweater) using fiat currency, and an NFT will be gifted to each buyer.
The Prada Timecapsule NFT drop takes place every first Thursday of every month at 3 pm CEST, so if you are a fan of non-fungible tokens or want to know more about Prada's Web3 journey, make sure to note that date in your calendar.
Thanks for staying till the end, and we hope you’re now better informed on NFT brand activity this week in the space.
Back to ChatGPT, the software is not nearly good enough to replace technical developers… yet. Remember to use A.I. responsibly, even with ChatGPT!
Hope to see you IRL at NFT Paris, February 2023! Till next time, coolkidz.
