Here's our content in-brief:
Let's dive right into it!
Bitwave is a SaaS (software as a service) company based in San Francisco, CA, that helps companies in the cryptocurrency industry with managing their digital assets, by providing solutions for tax tracking and reporting, bookkeeping, accounting, and compliance.
Founded in 2018 by serial entrepreneurs Amy Kalnoki and Patrick White, the Bitwave digital assets management platform has raised a total amount of $22.3M in funding, from two funding rounds. The first funding round was held on Aug 12, 2021, totaling $7,3M, and the second and last round was on Dec 6, 2022, in the amount of $15M.
Bitwave's list of investors includes leading companies and venture capital firms such as Blockchain Capital, Hack VC, Valor Equity Partners, Alumni Ventures, SignalFire, Arca, Pulsar Trading, Nima Capital, XBTO Group, Alumni Ventures, and others.
The mission of the Bitwave platform is to provide a series of enterprise-grade financial management solutions to companies and institutions that work with digital assets, to help them overcome compliance and regulatory challenges specific to the crypto space. Here are some of Bitwave's main features and SaaS solutions:
Aside from the solutions described above, Bitwave also offers advanced APIs and custom reporting, crypto invoicing and bill pay, and DeFi monitoring services for various platforms, DEXes, and Layer 2 networks. The platform supports tracking and tax reporting for the most popular DeFi protocols such as UniSwap, SushiSwap, Curve, Compound, Balancer, or Aave, as well as for revenue earned from staking operations and crypto mining.
Notably, Bitwave allows Nonprofit Organizations and crypto donors to manage their bookkeeping, accounting, and tax obligations, a popular service as an increased number of NGOs have started accepting cryptocurrency donations within the past few years. This has happened because many crypto investors are using charitable donations as a way to reduce their tax burdens, as they are considered charitable write-offs. In most cases, crypto revenue generated by NGOs from donations is tax-free.
As expected from a crypto platform of this type, Bitwave supports all the major blockchain networks, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, Optimism, Polygon, Solana, Avax, Heco, Filecoin, EOS, Mina, Dash, Flow, and Bitcoin Cash.
Within its few years of activity in the crypto SaaS and digital assets management field, Bitwave has managed to create partnerships with leading companies such as Profitlinq, Global Crypto Advisors (GCA), Polygon Advisory Group, Trustology/TrustVault, Masotti & Masotti, Propeller Industries, Burkland Associates, Graphite Financial, Kranz Consulting, Withum, Aquifer, and others.
Overall, the Bitwave platform is considered one of the best crypto tax software companies on the market, due to the fact that they empower businesses by simplifying their workflows and increase their productivity.
